@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist Hey Brett, thanks for the follow-up! It's an interesting reading. I'd very interested to have similar data for LGBT economists, unfortunately, I think it'll more difficult to obtain (as very few queer economists are actually out).

@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist I continued to research on my own, and even if I'm still at the beginning I already find something that suggests working in a non-welcoming environment (for LGBT) make people behave *as if* they were in a hostile environment earth.ox.ac.uk/case-study/frey-fyfe-postgraduate-dtp-queens-2015/

@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist The data are from researchers in STEM but I have reasons to suspect the problem is similar with economics assets.aeaweb.org/assets/production/files/5512.pdf

@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist So on top of potentially skewing economics in a certain direction, dismissing LGBTQ people could also have an effect on their working conditions. And considering they (we) already suffer from higher risks of mental troubles… I think there's something to investigate here.
