@causalinf He taught HET and introductory IO I was expecting an right leaning ideologue. Instead of that, he was always tryingto explain the "good" and "bad" side in every econ theory he presented us in HET And in the IO class… this is where I definitely blew my mindPermalink

@causalinf He spent his time talking about proofs, empirical evidences He showed an empirical strategy to test I don’t remember what, but I was completely sold to the elegance of the strategy This is when I realized that my vision of econ was maybe not accuratePermalink

@causalinf Etienne was also the first person who talked to me about academia and what an academic job is. For somebody who had no idea what a university was, it helped *a lot*. He was nice, gave me plenty of advices, and he was extremely approachablePermalink
