    @elben - Engage, ask questions - Boundaries matter - Don’t trust braggers or "I know better" people - Have support outside academia - Everyone fails. You will. That’s OK. A PhD is basically learning how to fail constructively - Never trust a single list of advices, seek for diversity

      @elben Also: - Create a Twitter account and follow #econtwitter, even if you’re just reading - If you find something enjoyable, notice it and focus on it. A PhD is extremely hard and anything that brings you joy should be celebrated, *especially* the little things
