@BarDkn @Econ_Marshall Well, then I disagree: I think the naivety excuse is good PR to mask some well understood interests. But I also believe that the culture within the Silicon Valley to "break things and clean up the mess afterwards" lead to not pay attention to this sort of negative externalities.

@BarDkn @Econ_Marshall In something as large as a company or a technological cluster as the SV, you can definitely have some sort of true naivety, and at the same time to use this as an excuse. The very fact you have some actual naivety here and there makes the excuse even more credible/useful.

@BarDkn @Econ_Marshall In both cases, a sector with this level of systematic naivety on its negative externalities on society call for some sort of regulation.
