              1. Staying in academia after my graduation would be the "easy" path, because it is the path that I know. But deep down, I also know it wouldn’t make me happy in the middle/long run. Trying something different is not easy, and "different" isn’t inherently good. 1/5

              Jumping from a plane without a parachute is definitely "different". But it comes with questionable consequences… I’m trying something different to find something that would suit better with my needs, hopes, dreams and expectations. 2/5

            Academia suits with part of that, as it is with being employed or being independent. There is definitely not one unique path. I also don’t "reject" academia: if I’m offered with an opportunity that fits, why should I refuse? I’ve just applied to a post-doc. 3/5

          At the end, I just want to be open to find the *good enough* solution for me. And I want to avoid at all cost to fall into the complacency trap: making mistakes is learning, and it’s a good thing. Making the same mistake again and again is the *opposite* of that. 4/5
