I don’t think this initiative will be enough to "end" the widespread harassment in econ, but what are your thoughts on this? Mine is (for now): it could be helpful in some circumstances, but suing your harasser can be tremendously costly for you career… aeaweb.org/news/member-announcements-may-20-2019

As victims of harassment are mainly women and non-white people (and LGBT too isn’t it?) who are already severely underrepresented, I’m not sure that we want to offer solutions that may push even more of them out of the field 😕Permalink
