It’s not just Facebook that relies on shady politics. Google is probably an order of magnitude worst. And academics are involved too, including economists. If someone receives money from someone else, it should be disclosed *everytime this information is relevant*. @karaswisher/1106065587560570880

I’m not arguing against lobbying per see. Companies have interests and they try to defend them. I’m arguing against non disclosure of conflict of interest for academics. And I also question if the amount of money made by these companies is not too much: who can counteract them?Permalink
