    @DinaPomeranz @itsafronomics I would double down on that by mentioning a paper (I can’t find the reference, I really need to better organize my scientific library…) that showed that people doing macro are more right leaning than those who do health or labor economics.

      @DinaPomeranz @itsafronomics I don’t doubt that professors can have a strong influence on students’ ideology, but I would be very careful before generalizing to the whole field. This anecdote is one data point, in one department, in one specific subfield, at one period of time, and so on.
