@lukestein @EconomistAtUGA @causalinf Another good side of having your own domain is that you can also have an email address that is tied to it (for instance, mine is olivier@simardcasanova.net). If you change institution, you don’t need to tell the whole world you have a new email address.

@lukestein @EconomistAtUGA @causalinf And it’s also convenient as when institutions shut down your email address once you left, if you direct all important communications to this email address, there’s little chance to lose anything important that may come up in the future.
