    1. I am currently extremely disappointed by my whole @twitter experience: too much noise, the interesting content is buried below the screams of angry people, I also spend too much time here. I wonder if anyone has any advice to share? Thank you!

Update: still working on deactivating retweets, as it has to be done account by account. I also decided to use Twitter less as an information hub, and more as a conversational tool. Let’s see how I will do this.

I subscribed to a lot of accounts I previously followed but where buried under the noise in News Explorer, a RSS reader. The idea is: if I want to follow an account, I need to have some kind of exhaustive list of what it’s tweeted.

(It means I have unfollowed accounts on Twitter but still continues to follow them on News Explorer.)

Also: News Explorer allows to deactivate retweets, so I also deactivated them there. (Only drawback is it’s an all or nothing option, there’s no way to activa retweets on a per account basis. But that’s manageable. @elemanssoftware)
