@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist This is not exactly my point. I don’t think economics is an homophobic field. But it isn’t a field where being openly gay is common either. What would be economics if the field had more openly gay academics? Would it be different, and how?

@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist Role models for gay people are very important and having one can significantly alter their view of the world. I observe there’s almost none in economics and I conjecture it may have an impact. (Sorry if I repeat myself, I’m a bit tired.)Permalink
