@brettlucas @Noahpinion Maybe. But what if there’s topics a gay person cannot really investigate because of some kind of fear? Even economists have beliefs and make decisions with respect to them. A similar trend seems to emerge toward women: they act differently than men @Undercoverhist.Permalink

@brettlucas @Noahpinion @Undercoverhist I don’t say there’s an « effect » on being gay on the academic outcome, and that changing the cultural norms could affect that (and then change econ itself, at least a bit). I just say it *might* be the case, and the question is worth considering.
