@GregoryWiker @erin_bartram I’ve also received this « advice » during my PhD. « You could still publish on your spare time! ». No, I won’t. I’m leaving academia, my spare time will be used as such. I basically won’t work for free. It tells a lot on how « work » is perceived & valued in academia.
