      @reynoldsrd I’ve seen some people hypothetitizing that the compatibility of Threads with Mastodon/the Fediverse is first and foremost a ploy to avoid regulator scrutiny I also think the way they plan to build the Threads social graph from Instagram is very clever

    @reynoldsrd As you said, it’s kind of a takeover, but so far executed very well (In retrospect, they are good at copying their competitors. See Snapshats and the stories thing.)
