      1. Jesus Christ, the toxicity of the degrowth crowd is truly something (including from some of the leading scholars in the field)

I low key posted twice in English about it In both case, prominent degrowth scholars jumped at my throat and sent their community to harass me (The last one apologized for the dog piling, even though they didn’t apologize for answering my criticism with a vile personal attack)

It’s quite something that *prominent* scholars of a field are searching for tweets that has 12 likes and are mildly critical of degrowth, take the time to research the authors of said tweets to attack them, instead of engaging on the merits

One of them is lecturing somebody on "speaking to other researchers respectfully" But they participated in the dog piling/mocking I received earlier today So apparently, respect is a one-way street? Peak hypocrisy

I don’t even care that much about degrowth Burden of the proof is on the degrowth literature So unless they publish the proofs and whatnot that degrowth is a viable solution to climate change, I don’t see why I should engage with them. They’re not special.
