    @SHamiltonian I’m kind of baffled by how bad he is doing diplomatically and strategically since Russia invaded Ukraine last year France is increasingly isolated in Europe, and he’s now also expanding the isolation in Asia and Oceania Extremely unfortunate

      @SHamiltonian It’s even more bizarre considering France has now become a reliable and engaged NATO member He’s destroying all this hard work with some half-baked, grandiose "European strategic autonomy" that, let’s be real, is a cover word for "France-led European strategic autonomy"

        @SHamiltonian I’m in favor of European strategic autonomy But it has to be built with, well, other European nations, including in Eastern Europe, and without forgetting that we have allies with whom we share interests
