      1. "The sad state of reference managers" - @readcube/@papersapp : has a great recommendation feature, but the app is hideous and I've lost data three times already - Zotero: free and open, but the iPad app is really lacking and the deskop app is super clunky 1/3

    About @mendeley_com: I remember when it was a promising new reference manager. And Elsiever destroyed it. See the iPad app: it was so buggy it was unusable. They killed it due to "low usage". I mean yeah, I'm sure it had low usage. But it probably wasn't due to low demand… 3/3
