    It drives me NUTS to see how horrendously incompetent some supervisors are (both male and female for that matter, incompetency has no gender) And it’s even worse when I witness firsthand the equally horrendous psychological consequences their incompetence has on grad students

      Also, do NOT, under any circumstance, bring the “there is no dumb question” line on the table and then attack your students for asking supposedly “dumb” questions Double negative points if you are not capable to answer yourself these supposedly “dumb” questions
