      @SHamiltonian Overreaction or not, the consequences will somehow be the same. France positioned itself as an IP player and relied on Australia as its key partner, and was trying to involve the EU more in this region. Relying on Australia seems kind of gone at the moment.

    @SHamiltonian There’s also a game with the US on top of just Australia. France has other potential partners in the region (India and South Korea notably), so Australia being out of the equation is maybe not that big of a deal. But it’s kind of hard to understand the whole tripartite game.
