      @KhoaVuUmn @jhaushofer I also think we need to have a broader conversation about dog piling. In my opinion #EconTwitter does not have a dog piling problem, but Twitter as a whole has one. Even if I agree with Khoa’s point that it was fair game to ridicule his lack of humility…

    @KhoaVuUmn @jhaushofer …I also think that having a large number of people coming at you, not necessarily with hostility btw, can be extremely hard and violent Dog piling can also be used to harass (something I’ve witnessed first hand myself), which is once again not the case here/with EconTwitter

      @KhoaVuUmn @jhaushofer The fact most of us weren’t attacking him with bad intentions (aka to harass him) doesn’t mean it wasn’t harmful for him Twitter makes it too easy to make a snappy comment or a RT as a joke. But one RT times 100 or 1000 can be really harmful.
