After more than six months of doing almost no research (for various reasons such as a global pandemic and working on other projects), I’m back at it! My newsletter @EcoSceptique is doing extremely well, and I see a ton of positive externalities between it and my future research

My PhD is unusually long compared to French standards, and as a consequence I explored a lot more stuff during it than your typical French PhD candidate But the time to scale down has arrived. I need more focus. I will soon axe some research areas of mine.Permalink

I don’t want to rush this scaling down, but it’s already *very* advanced I’ve said many times that while I won’t pursue an academic career, I still want to be scientifically active It’s too early to tell yet, but I may have found a working arrangement with the newsletter(s)Permalink

Also, I've met terrific people on #EconTwitter, and my relationship to econ academia has vastly changed thanks to that I went from a “I don’t belong here” place to a “I want to keep interacting with these cool people and discuss my ideas with them” place (@Claudia_Sahm 👋)Permalink
