@ProfPieters I know Europeans have a tendency to look down at the US but “car by default” is also the default in *a lot* of European cities

@ProfPieters I wouldn’t be surprised if the reason why Europe is not as car-centric as the US it’s mostly because our cities are older and it was politically challenging to destroy historical neighbourhoods to build freeways instead

@ProfPieters (We also didn’t had the equivalent of the Black neighborhoods that were bulldozed or cut in half to make room for freeways)
