      @lee_seltzer It’s another benefit of having an European-like welfare state: there’s probably already some sort of financial connection going *from* the government *to* people, so it’s easier to send money

    @lee_seltzer France for instance decided to give a couple of hundreds of € to the poorest people via an already existing institution, and put a 900€/month minimum for people in UI (with extra payments for people who are under the limits)
