      1. And I declare @readcube's Safari extension the worst browser extension I have ever used 👏🏻 It’s so poorly designed it made my entire Mac crash and I had to hard-reboot it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not surprised though bc overall their Mac app is close to being complete garbage: - very bizarre UI, it’s clearly a web app - no keyboard shortcuts - menus are not consistent, like at all, with the default macOS menus - they ask to install a helper to update the app???

They bought @papersapp, it was an horrendously buggy app but at least it was a native app. And they turned it into *this*? Why?

Also, why do you asking me if I want to close the app after I clicked on the item menu to close the app @readcube? This is non-standard macOS UX, and it’s just annoying

And the saddest thing about all of this is that ReadCube/Papers is the *least worst app* I’ve used to manage my scientific library Zotero is not bad but has a dreadful iOS support (I read a lot on my iPad mini), same with @mendeley_com (also one of the ugliest Mac app)
