Quick thoughts on this trend: it seems Pareto improving - Cheaper for firms - Also good for workers if the pay cut is less than the economy they make by living in a cheaper city - Probably a lot of positive externalities, esp. on transportation - Also good for the "tech cities"? @economics/1340764938529333251

      On the last one: a smaller number of super high paid workers will decrease rents, and thus make the city more livable for everybody (including the remaining tech workers) Maybe it also decreases tax revenues, but if costs are lower, the decrease could be compensated?
