It’s the same kind of shit @AppleSupport is doing with iCloud Mail: their spam filter is so badly set up that some supposedly “spammy” emails don’t even land in your spam folder. They’re discarded and you have no way to recover them or to teach iCloud they’re legit.

(This behaviour was confirmed to me by somebody from their support a couple of months ago. And for the record, I “lost” legit emails from IFTTT because of this stupid set up.)

I’ve been using @Fastmail for over a year now, and their anti spam is somewhat one of the worst and stupidest I’ve ever used. A total piece of garbage. But *at least* it doesn’t silently-ish alter your emails in a way that you can’t recover from

(I finally settled with @spamsieve: a con is it’s local, not server-based. But a pro is it’s local, and thus independent of your email provider. I’m overall satisfied with it, and the support is super responsive and helpful.)
