  1. So I know it’s dark and everything, but I would like to point out a **positive** thing about the US democracy: mail voting Despite the pandemic, turnout is historic In France, mail voting does not exist. We held an election during the first wave, the turnout was a disaster 1/2

      It was actually one of the worst (if not the worst) turnout for a municipal election ever. In some places, it was only 20%! And municipal elections usually have a pretty good turnout… Being able to provide a safe option for people to vote shouldn’t be overlooked imho 2/2
