@jodiecongirl We use city cops in Nancy to enforce a mask wearing mandate in public in certain (busy) streets But they have precise orders *not* to fine anyone unless the person strongly resists. They are here to teach, not to punish. But I guess this is not what Cuomo have in mind…

@jodiecongirl (The mandate was put in place like three weeks ago. Only 35 people have been fined so far, mostly older folks (“I survived the war, I’m not wearing a mask”). And the mandate is widely accepted, an overwhelming majority of people do wear a mask where it is mandatory.)Permalink
