  1. I can’t say much publicly yet but let’s say I’ve been offered a second data science contract as an independent contractor, even more interesting than the first one I have absolutely zero doubts I will enjoy this new career of mine much more than if I had stayed in academia

      I’m not saying this to bitch on academia I’m saying this because I’ve found something that suits better to my preferences than academia, and I think PhD students should be encouraged more often to do this It also leads to better sorting imo
