      @BVanDeynze But under which criterion should we evaluate what the "right method" is? If it is the one that bring a positive result that fits nicely with the story we want to tell, I think it's problematic (and this is what the current equilibrium is)

    @BVanDeynze That being said, if the "fishing" in question is documented, maybe not directly in the paper but in some appendix, I don't mind As you said, exploration is a part of scientific discovery. But it should be reported as such!
