        @mattsclancy The rules of the fight are clear. The reasons why you fight are clear. And they are quite easy to understand. It’s less sneaky. Plus having a huge ego can cost you *a lot* in politics, especially at the local level. In academia, quite the contrary I’d say.

      @mattsclancy Plus, ultimately, in politics it’s the people who decide one’s career. It’s not somebody with a staggering among of power hidden behind closed doors, a problem way too common especially in economics. I’m not saying it’s perfect of course, but this clarity is healthy.
