    @jcbecker93 I agree with and second everything you said I’d add it’s the same with basic sociological concepts such as social construct, social norms or domination And I’m not even advocating for a merger between econ and sociology, but just a bit of attention

      @jcbecker93 "Race" is not a biological reality but a social construct. And "race" is a tool used by one group to dominate one (or more) group(s). I’m pretty sure if economists paid attention to both sociology and history, we weren’t where we are today, both professionally and intellectually

        @jcbecker93 It feels almost subversive to write something of the sort "race is a social construct" in econ whereas it’s the basic understanding any sociologist would have of it
