      1. In a couple of days, I lost 2 apps I enjoyed Fantastical @flexibits is taking the @1Password/@TextExpander road of “bloated software with ton of useless features to justify the crazy price hike” @paste_app wants me to pay *again* in one year to keep using an app I already paid

      These two apps were important in my workflow, but the good thing about competition is that 1) a lot of alternatives already exist 2) competitors will probably adapt to those apps’ changes, and offer better products

    Plus in the long run it’s not necessary bad to have this kind of “shock” When my discomfort with 1Password really grew up, I ended up trying a couple of its competitors and realized some of them were so much *better* (compared to 1P) I now use a far superior product
