@macguitar You know what, whatever I will delete my tweet, and just forget about Fantastical, which was my go-to calendar app for years (and I loved it) Maybe you don’t see things like that but it’s never a pleasant experience to get fired as a customer
-
@macguitar I even considered to go with the sub and started the trial, but I was completely turned off by the obligation to have a cloud account I won’t give my iCloud credential to a company that has literally no experience in the cloud business, it is just way too risky
-
@macguitar The new Fantastical could have been a really nice app, especially the calendar sets feature combined with Reminders (but nested reminders do not show as such in Fantastical, which makes Fantastical unusable for me as a Reminders client)
-
@macguitar I am not a hater, and I am not angry at the fact the app changed What I am angry about is the langage around the change You cannot publicly say that a price increase of this magnitude is “reasonably priced”
-
@macguitar That being said, I shouldn’t have had quote-tweeted you the way I did and I apologize for that
-
@macguitar I have deleted my tweet, and even if there is very little chance the new Fantastical will work for me (you made it clear the price won’t change, and so far the value derived from a subscription isn’t worth it for me), I wish you the best with it
-
@macguitar I just hope one day in the future developers will start to realize that selling bullshit to their customers will *always* turn into a PR nightmare, and that it is purely a self-inflicted wound
