      @antonhowes That being said I agree with a lot of things you pointed on your thread: - I tend to avoid sharing political stuff (I created a dedicated account) and people who do the same (even though deactivating RT for accounts who tweet a lot about politics surprisingly helps)

    @antonhowes - I won’t name anyone but some people here are definitely more into a self-promotion state of mind instead of engaging with others. I don’t know how much of #EconTwitter is line that, my guess is not that much, but it’s kind of annoying

      @antonhowes (I tend to unfollow people who behave like that. Academia and research is all about the exchange of ideas, not putting anyone on a pedestal because this person was lucky enough to have a well connected supervisor, a fancy employer and whatnot)
