          @samuelmellert @bunq @teamtreesofficl In other words: CO2 compensation has nothing to do with compensating the damages caused by CO2 emissions… CO2 compensations is to *avoid* a similar or greater amount of CO2 emissions than the amount you emitted.

        @samuelmellert @bunq @teamtreesofficl If you fly to X and that flight emitted 1 ton back and forth, compensating for 1 ton means 1 tons of emissions will be avoided somewhere else. So the carbon balance of that flight would be zero.
