You probably won’t believe it but I fully accepted myself after one of my tweet was liked by @guskenworthy, and @raymondbraun responded to me – which sparked a deluge of positive comments from all over the world. I owe you so much guys, you are my queens 👸
-
If you don’t believe me, here are the proofs: @raymondbraun/965725522704519169?s=21
-
And the tweet that Gus liked: @simardcasanova/965396223359365120?s=21

So if you think role models are worthless, please reconsider. And by the way, it also works for women, black, Hispanic, Asian, people with disabilities and any other underrepresented group.
-
Also, another true story: I used to have "O. Simard-Casanova" as my handle, as Twitter didn’t allowed for longer ones. If you notice carefully, @raymondbraun called me « Simard » instead of « Olivier ».
-
So I tried to re-add my first full name instead of the abbreviation, and it worked! Twitter lifted the limit. Since then, I’m officially « Olivier Simard-Casanova » on Twitter, without any compromise!
