But he was referring to something slightly different than Merton: the idea that if you’re in an already well funded institution, you have more opportunities to do research…

      @dclingi @jcspilio @SHamiltonian … and then you get more money to conduct even more research, which creates a sort of increasing difference between researchers based on the ressources available at their first job/institution. He was referring to France.)
