            1. After almost 10 years with @1Password, I just switched to @outercorner. Such a relief to leave this bloated app! Anyone should use a password manager to avoid the "use the same password everywhere" thing, which can be really dangerous if just one website on the list is hacked.

Regarding @1Password itself, I was really appealed when they turned it into an overpriced subscription. Since then, they only added half-baked features of little (to no) interest, mostly to convince people they prices are justified (they are not).

The macOS app was always bloated, but as my password lists grew larger, it actually started to *prevent* me to manage all of this easily. A ton of mess accumulated over the years, Marie Kondo would be so happy at looking at it!

@outercorner is simpler, more focused, and actually more powerful (smart folders are so important!). Plus there is no subscription AND the syncing is done via iCloud, which is much more reassuring (as Apple has much more resources to secure its cloud storage).

I was also impressed by how quick importing the data from 1Password to Secrets was! Just a couple of seconds. (What took me a bit of time was to figure out how to export the data in 1Password… Perfect symbol of how bloated 1Password has become!)

If you only use a Mac and a bunch of iOS devices, Secrets is a good app. If you also have an Android or a PC, you can have a look at @EnpassApp or @bitwarden_app. Both are good apps, with different styles. It doesn't matter which password manager you use as long as you use one!
