@SethS_D My first thought after reading your tweet was: what if (at least part of) this depression is caused by a greater exposition to politics? In this case, Facebook causes the exposition, but the actual cause is exposition to politics, not using Facebook in itself.Permalink

@SethS_D But I remembered that a bunch of studies showed that using Facebook and Instagram depress even more people who are already subject to depression. So I don't know, maybe it is somewhat the same effect, or maybe there is something specific to politics. Or both.
