@djplong @yfreemark In the case of France, the sprout of LRT lines in the last 20 years hugely benefited from shared experiences and economies of scale: each line is basically a "clone" of the others, with the same contractors, builders, makers, and so on.Permalink

@djplong @yfreemark The cost of such LRTs ranges from 10 M€/km up to 30-35 depending on the urban conditions, with an average around 18-20. And usually, for this price tag (which include the rolling stock), French cities built first-class lines, with urban renovation, traffic priority, and so on…
